Mental Health and Wellbeing

Mrs Austin-Cooke, our Head Teacher, is fully trained as a Senior Mental Health Lead. She is also a Mental Health First Aider.

We have a fully trained Emotional Literacy Support Assistant.

Elsa’s are Emotional Literacy Support Assistants. They are specialist teaching assistants with a wealth of experience of working with children. ELSA’s are trained and regularly supervised by Educational Psychologists.

Please do talk to either Mrs. Cooke or Mrs. Skelton (ELSA) if you have any concerns about your child.

ELSA’s help with:

Loss and bereavement, Emotional Literacy, Self esteem, Social skills, Friendship issues, Relationships, Managing Strong feelings, Anxiety, Bullying, Conflict, Emotional Regulation, Growth Mindset and Social stories.
